Organization

The Iris Project is an arts collective formed by local Houston professional artists David Graeve, Jenny Westbury, Hugh Lobel, Jed Foronda, Corian Ellisor and Katharine Boyette.

"We were all working on a project with the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for Collaboration and were so energized by each other's talents that we kept playing together."

As a group we decided to use the collective to explore new art theories in the community. Public Art and shared space is an idea that continually resonates with us, so conducting a critical dialogue about the intersection of art, people and space is an essential component of the Iris Project.
