    Black Lab Theatre is the brainchild of artistic director Jordan Jaffe, a theater major from Rice University who has studied and performed in New York and Los Angeles.

    Black Lab Theatre is committed to producing work that is new and relevant. Black Lab’s goal is to bring to Houston audiences a wide range of works from up and coming new playwrights whose works are being produced at theaters such as the Atlantic Theatre Company, Playwrights Horizons, Steppenwolf and Vineyard Theatre.

    Black Lab aims to create theatre productions that go outside the box of orthodoxy. Our aim is to challenge, entertain, and provide audiences the opportunity to see regional and local premieres of recognized and award-winning dramas that never reach national tours.

    Rather than focus on major revivals, traditional productions, or outright experimental theater, Black Lab will focus on bringing newer, socially conscious dramatic shows to audiences in fresh and innovative ways.
