 Hanson Galleries, voted a “Top Retailer of American Crafts” by NICHE Magazine for 10 years in a row, opened for business in 1977. Our original store featured handcrafted furniture and wood accessories. Over time, we added art glass, jewelry and ceramics to become an up-scale business handling mainly American Fine Crafts.

When in Houston visit us at either of our two locations: the sophisticated Uptown Park or our exciting location in the Memorial City Mall.

UPDATE MARCH 2012: The Uptown Park location of Hanson Galleries has moved. Our new location is: 5000 Westheimer #106. This is across Westheimer from Neiman Marcus, and across the parking lot from The Grand Lux Cafe.

Throughout the years we have maintained the practice of featuring art forms of the highest quality and craftsmanship, what we like to call “future heirlooms.” We pride ourselves on our wealth of selection, and often people will say “just get me anything from Hanson Galleries and I will be happy!”

Hanson Galleries has many special events every year that showcase individual artists trunk shows, group-themed shows such as last year’s OPALMANIA featuring opal jewelry by 12 artists, and local guild shows such as this year’s Houston Metal Artist Guild show named METALICIOUS.
