    "They, Who Sound" is Houston's weekly series for experimental/ improvised/ underground/ electronic/ electro-acoustic/ sound/ noise/ music/ "musique brut".

    "They, Who Sound" is Houston's weekly series for experimental/ improvised/ underground/ electronic/ electro-acoustic/ sound/ noise/ music/ "musique brut".

    There will be two different sets each week.

    Exploratory improvisation, hypnotic droning, iconoclastic noise and authentic "musique brut" have for decades been strong undercurrents affecting movements in Houston's music (and art). They deeply impact what we hear and feel on the surface. But these scenes (or phenomena - underground music is often not coming from a 'scene') also produce many of Houston's most well-known musical exports (unbeknownst to most Houstonians - even in the music and cultural arts communities).

    They, Who Sound will offer two sets sampling a diverse range of underground music in Houston (with occasional visiting artists as well).
