    The Lone Star Symphonic Band is an adult semi-professional wind ensemble dedicated to bringing performances of artistic merit to the Houston area community.

    Founded in 1993 as the West Houston Concert Band, the band is comprised of musicians from all walks of life and instills the value that music is a life-long event, continuing well beyond high school and college, and awards the Jon K. Fisher Memorial Scholarship to students majoring...

    The Lone Star Symphonic Band is an adult semi-professional wind ensemble dedicated to bringing performances of artistic merit to the Houston area community.

    Founded in 1993 as the West Houston Concert Band, the band is comprised of musicians from all walks of life and instills the value that music is a life-long event, continuing well beyond high school and college, and awards the Jon K. Fisher Memorial Scholarship to students majoring in Music. In the summer of 2005, the Band entered into a joint venture with Houston Community College - Town and Country Campus, offering the band as a course for credit to HCC students interested in performing with an ensemble.

    The Band is under the direction of Dr. Clancy Weeks.
