    The Masquerade Theatre is the resident musical theatre company of The Hobby Center for Performing Arts in Zilkha Hall.

    Since 1996, The Masquerade Theatre has presented star quality professional musicals exclusively staging Houston's finest talent.

    The theatre company, a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, has been honored with Houston Press Awards including Best Houston Theatre Company (2009), Best Musical (COMPANY), and best Actor (Luther Chakurian).

    Actors of The Masquerade Theatre Resident Company also teach acting, voice, and dance to aspiring Houston youth through the Tribble School of Professional Musical Theatre. Leadership Houston awarded the 2009 Arts and Culture "Leadership in Action Award" to Tribble School's scholarship program for its community effort to introduce the theatre arts to a broad range of students.

    UPDATE APRIL 25, 2012:

    Dear Masquerade Patrons

    It is with deep regret that, due to the inability to meet our current financial obligations, The Masquerade Theatre, including The Tribble School, is suspending all operations effective immediately.

    The Board deeply appreciates your work and your patronage.

      I loved my first experience with Masquerade Theatre. I saw The Producers and was blown away by the costumes, and the level of talent on the stage. The voices in the ensemble were better than anything... Expand
