    Monroe Moore

    Actor - Choreographer - Dancer - Director - Singer

    About the artist: Mr. Moore is an award winning director and choreographer and member of Actors Equity.

    Mr. Moore a native if Corpus Christie, Texas begin dancing at the age of 6 and professionally at the age of 10.

    He relocated to Los Angeles and then Houston, Texas where he trained with Suzanne Semans, Glenda Brown, Peggy Girouard, Barbara King, and Allan Dear.

    Mr. Moore trained in dance, acting and voice on scholarship three consecutive yeats at Ann Reinking's Broadway Theatre Project.

    Mr. Moore has had the opportunity to train, study, and work with Ann Reinking, Jeff Caloun, Vanessa Williams, Patricia Birch, Gregory Hines, Tommy Tune, Marvin Hamish, Walter Bobbie, and Frank Young.

    As a performer he has graced the stage in productions of Bye Bye Birdie, The Who's Tommy, Peter Pan, Sweet Charity, Kiss of a Spider Woman, Dream Girls, The Music Man, Godspell, Oliver, The Wiz, and Pippin.

    Mr. Moore originated the role of Shantella in New Heights Theatre off-Broadway production of The Life.

    Mr. Moore has directed and/or choreographed over 100 productions in the professional, regional, community, and educational theatre realm.

    In Houston he has directed and choreographed at all the top professional theatre houses in Houston including The Music Man, Oliver, Bye Bye Birdie, & All That Jazz at The Wortham Theatre. Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts. West Side Story, Annie,The Wizard of Oz, Oliver, & Peter Pan at the Stafford Centre for the Performing Arts.

    He recently just completed assisting Tommy Dase in the Asian tour of Sweet Charity in Osaka, Japan.

    His choreography can be seen at dance competitions and conventions across the United States. Mr. Moore is based in Houston, Texas where he serves as Executive Artistic Director of Broadway Bound Musical Theatre Company.

    He also is the resident choreographer for several theatres and schools in the Houston area. Mr. Moore has served as a guest artist and/or adjudicator for the Texas, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, California and International Thespian Conferences, Dance Olympia, Broadway Works, LA Dance Elite, and Show Stoppers
