About the artist: I believe art is a verb, not a noun. The action of making art is as much art as the end result. In my art, I have strived to create images that combine abstract pictorial invention with actual representation in a fictive construct that references memories, objects, places, and events.

I endeavor to create art that is compelling, mysterious, and visually appealing. The visual appeal of my work is very important, and, as a result, I aspire to create art that is not only artistically sound, but also appealing to the traditionally regarded non-artistic portions of our society. I create art not only to be seen in a gallery or museum, but also art that is compatible with being viewed comfortably in the average home.

Most of my work revolves around traditional printmaking and ceramic media, but I do have a tendency to venture into other media on occasion. I find working with natural substances such as clay and wood very meditative and in direct relation with my primary subject matters: nature and current events defining our societies future.
