About the artist: An award-winning artist and writer, Linda Summers Posey has been developing and sharing her creativity for more than 20 years. She has studied art with several well-respected Houston teachers. Linda is the founder and 2007-2008 president of Artists Alive and Well, Inc., an artists’ educational support network. In addition to her painting she designs jewelry, writes and is a writing and creativity coach. Linda lives in Houston with her husband of 40 years and their three cats.

Artist's Statement:

“I became an artist to play more freely with my self-expression. While I still enjoy writing, I love the creative process of experimenting with color, line, shape and texture as I paint. Each artwork is an adventure, taking me out of space-time and into an unknown world full of mystery and surprises. My artistic goal is to freely express all that is possible for me as a human being. I hope my work generates in viewers a sense of their own possibilities. If I inspire one person to reach for their own creativity, then I succeed as an artist.”
