    Nicholas Gaitan

    Composer - Musician - Singer

    About the artist: Born in Houston, Nick Gaitan has played many regions in the U.S. and Mexico with Houston Based group Los Skarnales, a group which he played the double bass (upright bass) for. He also created and leads the street jazz, and urban sounding group called The Umbrella Man. Nick has been nominated several times in the Houston Press music awards dating from 2003, winning the award for "best bassist" in both 04 and 05 (he was also nominated for 06).

    Gaitan has shared the stage with many touring musicians from different backgrounds and genres and keeps a regular schedule around Houston playing shows on his Bass Fiddle.
