Wm. Kelly Bailey

About the artist: Wm. Kelly Bailey is an award winning artist based in Houston. He has had paintings accepted into juried National and International shows consistently since 2001. (He was awarded acceptance into over two dozen shows in 2005 alone.)
He has qualified for Signature Status in the following professional artist societies: Mississippi Watercolor Society, Texas Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Watercolor Art Society-Houston, The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, New Mexico Watercolor Society, and Missouri Watercolor Society.
One of his recent awards: he was selected as a “Finalist†(in the top 50) in The Artist’s Magazine’s annual (2007) competition out of many thousands of entries from artists all over the country and the world.
He has had four solo shows since 2001, the first being an invitational show in the Mohave County Museum in Arizona, June 2001. His second solo show was in The Upstairs Gallery at the Glassell School of Art, (MFA-H) in the spring of 2003. His third and fourth solo shows have been at The Cloister Gallery in downtown Houston (1117 Texas Avenue) Dec., 2004 and Nov., 2006. His next solo show will be in the Morton Street Gallery in the spring of 2008.
He has also been in numerous group shows at galleries in the Houston area including: The Glassell, The Cloister Gallery, Blossom Street Gallery, Hooks Epstein Galleries, The Morton Steet Gallery (Richmond) and the OliverCharles Gallery. He is currently represented by the Morton Street Gallery in Richmond, Texas, who has been featuring his paintings (along with some of their other artists) in ads in American Art Collector magazine.
His paintings are in private collections in 16 states from California to New York as well as in Canada, Denmark and Bulgaria.
