Hobby Center - Zilkha Hall

Zilkha Hall's warmly bright acoustic continues to set the standard for halls of its size on both a national and international scale. The 500 seat theater is ideal not only as a performance venue, but also for meetings, presentations, and other special events. With backstage amenities similar to its neighbor Sarofim Hall, but on a smaller scale, the venue has supported performances for chamber music, opera, theatre, the spoken word, nationally broadcast meetings and special events, corporate gatherings, as well as studio recording and movie production. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern with acoustic design by JaffeHolden, Zilkha Hall is still referred to by its architect as "one of the highlights of my career."     The Hobby Center parking garage is located directly behind the complex with easy access from both Rusk and Walker streets. This 7-level, above-ground, 800-car garage offers self-parking ease for patrons and visitors alike. Event parking is an affordable $6 per vehicle. Valet service is provided during performances and in conjunction with Artista operating hours in front of the Hobby Center on Bagby Street, for $15 per vehicle between Rusk and Walker.

    Parking Info: The Hobby Center parking garage is located directly behind the complex with easy access from both Rusk and Walker streets. This 7-level, above-ground, 800-car garage offers self-parking ease for patrons and visitors alike. Event parking is an affordable $6 per vehicle. Valet service is provided during performances and in conjunction with Artista operating hours in front of the Hobby Center on Bagby Street, for $15 per vehicle between Rusk and Walker.
