Houston Maritime Museum
Historic ship models, the Luykx Navigation Instrument Collection, and numerous other nautical items at the Houston Maritime Museum, offer an insite into how maritime history has shaped our world. Displays such as these make museums special places in our community. They present the public with an opportunity to experience the thrill of personal discovery.
The Houston Maritime Museum is the first of its kind in Houston. Exhibits include over 150 ship models, over 100 types of navigational instruments, and numerous maritime artifacts. Lectures on oceans, explorers, cargo ships and fishing vessels provide new and exciting learning experiences for visitors of all ages.

We are located at 2204 Dorrington Street in Houston. We are one block south of Holcomb and one block east of Greenbriar, near the medical center.
