Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center

    Comment on Facebook

Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center opened to the public in 1982. This 275-acre nature park is named after the late Jesse H. Jones, whose Houston Endowment Foundation, Inc. contributed to the initial funding for the project. Jones Park preserves the Native American and pioneer lifestyles commonly found along the banks of Cypress and Spring creeks during the late 1700s and early 1800s.

Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center, a Harris County Precinct 4 facility, features natural parkland with a variety of micro-habitats, including natural white sand beaches along Spring Creek, with large numbers of native species of flora and fauna. Over five miles of paved, all-weather, handicapped-accessible hiking trails are available.
